Extract from the Joe Meek Story
The classier side of pop is represented here by the soulful ballads of Tony Dangerfield, from Wolverhampton, who was plucked from Lord Sutch's Savages and launched by Joe as a solo performer: he went back to the Midlands to recruit his old band Gullivers Travellers, whom Meek promptly re-named The Thrills.

His sole Pye single was a real hybrid, showcasing two contrasting styles - "SHE'S TOO WAY OUT" is a heads-down rocker, featuring a pair of scorching guitar solos from Johnny Bedder (and not Ritchie Blackmore, as has been suggested) and was a reworking of an earlier Meek song recorded by
Cliff Bennet and The Rebel Rousers.

The A-side "I'VE SEEN SUCH THINGS" was its mirror opposite, a soulful ballad written by Manfred Mann's Paul Jones and Tom McGuinness. Again, whatever happened to it?
